- Hey Mike, so a friction sway control unit like the part # 83660 can help stop some of the sway that starts from wind or passing semis but if you are experiencing persistent sway once you hit a certain speed that will only be fixed by increasing the amount of tongue weight in your trailer relative to the total trailer weight. You need to have between 10 and 15 percent of the total trailer weight as tongue weight.

By compatible receiver are you referring to the weight distribution shank? If so, they are interchangeable between manufacturers so you can use one with your Husky weight distribution so long as it has the right rise or drop you need.
